Glenmont Abbey Village
We've been happily living at Glenmont Abbey for almost 5 years. We really like having a balcony, garage, clubhouse, activities, ... clean buildings, friendly & helpful staff, secure mail & package area inside the building, & a M-F bus for trips, shopping, doctors, etc. Glenmont Abbey has a "country-setting feel" though located near stores, eateries, banks, a pharmacy, and more, as well as being close to downtown Albany. This review has been a Long time coming , but Amanda and Letha are Phenomenal!! Amanda was so kind and helpful with the whole ... process with moving my in-laws all the way from India into the Abbey ! She was patient and extremely warm and made them feel at home and comfortable as she continues to do! Letha went above and beyond to also make them feel comfortable and give insight and suggestions to decor and setting up their apartment ! She also checks up on them here and there which really goes a long way! These two women have truly made all the difference. Aside from the fabulous staff , the up keep of this place is fantastic ALL of the residents are SUPER kind and friendly , it truly is such a blessing for our family to have our parents living here and we are truly grateful! Two years ago when I moved in to the Abbey, my experience with the previous management was poor. As a result I was never ... really happy here. Things changed recently when new management took over. Upon learning of my experience during a meeting, Letha, our new Manager, apologized for how I was treated and immediately made things right. Although it was far too late to do anything about the filthy condition of the apartment when I moved in, Letha promised she would have maintenance immediately take care of the repairs that were never done. She kept her word. Tylor, the new Maintenance Supervisor, did a fantastic job making all the necessary repairs, and then some, going above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the work. I want to thank Tyler Harrington, our Glenmont Abbey Maintenance Supervisor for helping to install a light fixture that needed ... to be replaced. Not only did he do a great job of installing it but insisted on cleaning up after he completed the job. He even went so far as to polish the dining table for me. In all of the years that Iíve known Tyler, he has not only been friendly, helpful, courteous and professional towards me. He takes his job seriously.
